Repurposed Lip Balm Plastic Tubes (tiny ultralight storage)
We have repurposed lip balm tubes for storage of all things small. These have been cleaned, the middle upright stick has been removed and the bottom of the tube has been permanently glued on creating a hollow tube with secure cap, perfect for storage and is travel size. Use it for backpacking (ultralight), car camping, tramping, bikepacking, sea kayaking and nomading.
Store bobby pins, tiny beads, crafts, vitamins, pills, toothpicks, fire starter, paperclips, needles, pins and money (fold bills in half). I use mine to store a small sewing repair kit in which contains 4 pre-threaded needles, a variety of safety pins, fine dental floss (great for repairs needing good strong thread) and a button. I use duct tape to secure the top for two purposes; 1) to hold the lid securely on to prevent it coming off and 2) to have it readily available when needed for quick repairs.
