Piñon Pine Sap Salve works especially on deeply embedded objects (glass and wood splinters) that will likely take several days or more of apply Piñon Pine Sap Salve before results are seen. Usually, the foreign object will swell to a head and pop its way out within 48+ hours. Because the Piñon pine resin is a counterirritant that stimulates blood flow and local immune response, the area may look more inflamed initially, this however, is a good sign that the salve is working.
Rub generous amounts on the affected area and wait. Use your common sense and discontinue use if the situation seems worse rather than getting better. Avoid using on very hot, red and aggravated areas.
