What's in a name

How come we named it Nomads Essentials?

A little about ourselves

For 22 years Barbara McIntyre and Richard De Armond were active, adventure and wilderness-based tour guides. During this time, they worked for other companies but eventually found the desire to run their own adventure-based company. Barbara and Richard named their company Nomadic Routes Inc. They thrived in the outdoor based activities and gained an extraordinarily strong connection to the natural environment. For Barbara, the connection extended into a great curiosity of plants and their healing properties. The plants spoke to Barbara and her second calling gave rise to developing plant-based soap and body products. Selling soaps at farmers markets meant a name change to define the transformation, essentials for nomads or Nomads Essentials. She believes we are all Nomads, and that Nature is essential for our well being. Using nourishing and as natural as possible is also essential for the mind, body, and soul.

The Clear and Obvious Choice

Picture
Nomads Essentials was the clear and obvious choice for the name change. It held true to Barbara and Richard's connection to a simpler nomadic lifestyle and Barbara's deepening connection to the essence of earth's flora and fauna. Barbara continues her education and discovery of plant properties to expand her product line and her love and respect for the healing power of nature.
