From the heart and soul of Barbara McIntyre, owner of Nomads Essentials. Lovingly and thoughtfully wildcrafted, created and blended using local and non-local plants, tree resins, mead and honey.
The practice of burning herbs, flowers, bark, resins and other plant parts for the aromatic smoke they release is a tradition that goes back to ancient times, across many different cultures.
To use: Break off a small chuck and lightly rub it between your fingers to break into small pieces and spread on the coolest part of wood burring stove or drop a small chunk on a hot bamboo charcoal disk. I like to use a tiny piece of foil to protect the wood stove top. The incense will emit fragrant smoke and fill your home with Earth Blessings.

This compound incense produces an exquisite, rich multi-layered bouquet with a deep, relaxing, sweet, woody and evocative aroma. All essences were thanked and honored through prayer and offerings of wild sacred tobacco which I grow in my Mayne Island, BC garden.
Sustainably Wild crafted from Mayne Island:
Rosehips, Douglas and Grand fir tree resin, poplar cottonwood buds, vanilla leaf, rose pedals, cedar leaf, Douglas fir needles, Grand fir needles, western hemlock needles

Interior BC:
Ponderosa pine resin Northern California: Mugwort Australia: Sandalwood powder
Unknown Origin:
Juniperberries, white willow bark powder, orris root powder, copal (goma, a tree resin)

Break off a small chunk about the size of your thumbnail and place it on the coolest part of your wood burning stove or on a red hot chemical-free charcoal disk, which has turned light grey (4 – 7 minutes). It will slowly emit scent into the air as the heat from your firebox or charcoal embraces it.
Avoid use with direct or open flame. As with all incense, a small amount of smoke is emitted during use.
